These terms cover the Homelab Deck iOS app and this website, both provided by PieCrust Labs ("we", "us"). By installing or using the app you agree to them. If you don't, don't use it.
The app is licensed, not sold, through the App Store, and Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement applies. Where these terms conflict with Apple's, Apple's win. Apple is not a party to these terms, has no obligation to provide support for the app, and is not responsible for any claim you may have about it — though Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms and may enforce them against you.
You get a personal, non-transferable licence to use the app on Apple devices you own or control, in line with the App Store Terms of Service. You may not copy, redistribute, sell, rent, sub-license, reverse engineer, decompile or disassemble it, except to the extent that restriction is unenforceable where you live.
This is the part that actually matters. Homelab Deck can start, shut down, restart and force stop virtual machines and containers on servers you connect it to. Force stop is the equivalent of pulling the power: it can lose unwritten data and corrupt filesystems.
The app stores API tokens in the iOS Keychain on your device and sends them only to the servers you configure. We never receive them, and we have no ability to access your servers. Details are in the privacy policy. Keeping the device itself secure — a passcode, and Face ID or Touch ID — is up to you.
The app and this website are provided "as is" and "as available", without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including any implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the app will be uninterrupted, error free, compatible with any particular version of Proxmox VE, TrueNAS SCALE or Unraid, or that defects will be corrected.
Server platforms change their APIs. A release newer than those listed on the support page may not work correctly.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, downtime, lost profits, or damage to systems, arising out of or relating to your use of the app — whether or not we were advised such damages were possible. Our total liability for any claim relating to the app will not exceed the amount you paid for it.
Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of certain warranties or the limitation of certain damages. Where that is the case, the exclusions above apply only to the extent permitted, and nothing here limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.
Homelab Deck is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Proxmox Server Solutions GmbH, iXsystems, Inc., or Lime Technology, Inc. Proxmox, TrueNAS and Unraid are trademarks of their respective owners, used here only to describe compatibility.
All purchases go through the App Store. Refunds are handled by Apple under its own policies — request one through reportaproblem.apple.com. We cannot issue refunds directly.
We may update these terms; the current version is always the one on this page, with its date. Continuing to use the app after a change means you accept the updated terms.
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules, and subject to any mandatory consumer-protection rights you have where you live.
